Welcome to Priory Chapel of the Servite Community at Benburb Priory.
Weekly Mass
Every Friday at 10 a.m., the quiet setting of Benburb Priory Chapel comes alive as parishioners gather for the Weekly Mass led by the Parish Priest. The service offers a peaceful space for prayer and reflection at the end of the working week, with scripture readings, a short homily, and the celebration of the Eucharist at the heart of the liturgy.
Surrounded by the chapel’s serene atmosphere and historic charm, the community joins together in song and shared devotion, drawing strength and encouragement for the days ahead. All are warmly welcome to attend, whether seeking spiritual renewal, fellowship, or a few moments of stillness in a sacred place.
St Peregrine Mass and Healing Service
On the first Monday of every month at 8 p.m., Benburb Priory Chapel hosts the St Peregrine Mass and Healing Service, a special time of prayer for those seeking comfort, strength, and hope. Dedicated to St Peregrine, Patron Saint of those living with illness, the evening begins with the celebration of the Eucharist and is followed by a healing service that invites all present to place their intentions before God.
In the quiet, reverent setting of the chapel, the Parish Priest leads prayers for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing, offering a moment of solace and encouragement for individuals, families, and caregivers.
This monthly gathering is open to everyone, providing a supportive and faith-filled space for reflection, intercession, and renewal.
Family Tree Healing Mass
The Family Tree Healing Mass which is held every last Monday of the month at 8pm is acelebration of the Eucharist offered with the intention of healing spiritual, emotional, or physical burdens believed to be passed down through generations. Rooted in the belief that God’s grace can bring restoration to families, the Mass invites participants to pray for freedom from inherited struggles and to deepen their walk with Christ.
The celebration emphasises God’s mercy across generations, encouraging reconciliation, forgiveness, and renewed family relationships. Through prayer, confession, and the sacraments, participants seek generational healing and a fresh outpouring of grace for both the living and the deceased within their family line.
