Inaugural Christian Conference at Benburb Priory

Posted On: September 6, 2022

On Friday 2nd September, Benburb Priory welcomed attendees from across Ireland, Europe, and North America to a conference on the meaning crisis and Christian life in the 21st century.

Paul Kingsnorth and Paul Vander Klay spoke about some of the most pressing issues of our time, before the audience joined in during in-depth Q and A sessions. Later, the audience split into groups to reflect on the day, some of the major challenges of our time, and opportunities for Christians today.

The Stables cafĂ© provided a wonderful dinner for our guests and a beautiful setting to unwind after the day. Local musicians, Eoin Kelly and Eileen McKee performed a mixture of traditional Irish, Christian, and modern pieces. If that wasn’t enough, Fr. Emmanuel of Armagh parish joined in for some modern hits on the saxophone. All this came together to create a memorable day. Benburb Priory will now create an Estuary group in Ireland, based on the success of the event.
