The presentation will highlight not only Murphy’s creative output but also his lasting contribution to Ireland’s literary heritage\, offering a fresh appreciation for a figure often overlooked in mainstream accounts. \nThis event is expected to provide new perspectives on Murphy’s place within the wider story of Irish writing\, celebrating his role in enriching the nation’s cultural landscape. \nAbout the speaker\nKevin Murphy\, founder director of Ti Chulainn Cultural Centre in Mullaghbawn\, South Armagh\, is a former English and Politics teacher with over sixty years of historical and literary research experience. He has lectured extensively and co-authored two books\, Kick Any Stone (2003) and A Famine Link (2006). \nKevin’s recent works include studies on South Armagh’s history\, famine\, revolution\, and notable figures such as Peter Donnelly. He is currently researching Donnelly further and preparing a history of Carricknagavna townland. Murphy has also lectured widely on folklorist Michael J.
